Understanding Your LabelRadar Notifications: A Guide for Artists

Are you new to LabelRadar and feeling a bit overwhelmed by the notifications you're receiving? Don't worry, we're here to help! Below, we'll break down the different types of notifications you might receive and what they mean.

Track Shortlisted: "[Label or Promoter name] has listened to the clip of your track [track name] and will be checking out the full song!"

This means that the label or promoter has listened to your initial 20-second clip and added your track to their shortlist. It's a good sign that they are at least initially interested, so keep an eye out for future updates.

Track Skipped: "[Label or Promoter name] has listened and is unfortunately not interested in releasing your track [track name]. Thank you for sending though!"

This notification just means that the label or promoter wasn’t interested in your track at this time. It's important to remember that rejection is a part of the music industry, and even some of the most successful artists have faced it. Don’t lose hope though, there are plenty of other labels and promoters out there looking for tracks like yours so keep trying!

Chat Started: "[Label or Promoter name] wants to start a conversation about your track [track name]!"

Congratulations! If you receive this notification, it means a label or promoter is expressing further interest in your demo and wants to talk further. You can continue the conversation through our Messages feature.

Track Signed with no other artists tagged: "[Label name] has marked [track name] as signed. If you want to move forward please confirm."

Track Signed with multiple artists tagged: "[Label name] marked your track [track name] as signed. Every artist in the conversation has to confirm in order to move forward."

These notifications mean that a label wants to sign your track on their end. If you're not interested in signing with that label, simply don't confirm the request. If your track was submitted via 'One to Many', marking it as signed means your track will no longer appear on General Submissions for other labels.

Artist Watchlists: "[X] labels added your profile to their artist watchlist this week! This means that they think you have potential and will be keeping a close eye on you!"

If you receive this notification, congratulations! Labels think you have potential and have added your artist profile to their watchlist. Be sure to submit to them in the future because your submissions will stand out with an artist watchlist icon!

Invited to Submit: "[Label name] discovered your artist profile and is inviting you to submit a track!"

This notification means that a label has discovered your artist profile and they'd like to receive a One to One submission from you. This is a great opportunity to get your music heard by that label, so be sure to take advantage of it!

We hope this guide has helped you better understand the notifications you're receiving on LabelRadar. Remember to stay persistent and keep submitting your music to labels and promoters that align with your goals and vision. Good luck on your musical journey!
