I had a label marked my track as signed but I am not interested. What do I do?

Firstly, don't worry! If a label has marked your track as signed, it's not legally binding, even if you confirm it as signed on LabelRadar. The 'Mark Track as Signed' is simply a two-way confirmation that lets LabelRadar know that an artist and a label have decided to work together, and it takes your track out of the pool of potential selections for other labels. So, if you're not interested in signing with that label, simply don't confirm the request. The 'Mark Track as Signed' button is separate from any direct contract you enter into with a label.

If a label initiates a conversation with you regarding a submission,
you will see the 'Mark Track as Signed' button on the 'Messages' page.

If you do end up moving forward together, please confirm via the 'Mark Track as Signed' button as a best practice. Having had tracks signed on LabelRadar will become more valuable over time as we improve artist profiles and introduce new types of on-platform content in the future!

If you do receive a formal contract from a label that you're interested in working with, make sure to review any agreements carefully and consider consulting with a legal professional before signing. It's important to note that a direct contract between an artist and a label is legally binding, and LabelRadar does not participate in this process. Our goal is solely to facilitate the connection between the two parties. Before signing any contract, it's crucial to ensure that both parties are clear on the terms of the agreement and that your rights as an artist are protected.

At LabelRadar, we believe in providing opportunities for artists to showcase their talents and connect with industry professionals. We're here to help and support you on your music journey!
