If I skip a track what happens?

When reviewing demos on LabelRadar, you might come across a track that doesn't fit your brand or style. In this case, you can simply skip the track by clicking the "Skip" button (or using the left arrow key if you're on the web app), or by swiping left if you're using the mobile app.

But what exactly happens when you skip a track?

When you skip a track on LabelRadar, the Artist who submitted the track will receive a notification of your decision in real-time. This means that they won't be left wondering what happened to their submission. There's no need for tedious email chains or follow-ups!

As a Label, you may be wondering if you can provide feedback when you skip a track. The answer is yes! We offer an optional feature that allows you to leave feedback for the Artist when you skip their track. This feedback will appear as a quote at the bottom of the notification that the Artist receives. You can enable or disable this feature on your LabelRadar Settings page, as well as customizable pre-set rejection reason text. By default, rejection feedback is turned off for your convenience.

While we encourage providing feedback to Artists as it can add value to the demo review process, we understand that your time is valuable, and your main goal is to find great music to sign as quickly as possible. Therefore, providing feedback when skipping a track is purely optional. We're here to help you discover new talent with ease, and we want to make the demo review process as efficient and hassle-free as possible.
